Attraverso una nota ufficiale sul sito apple.com, l’azienda di Cupertino ha annunciato di aver venduto 10 milioni di iPhone 6 e iPhone 6 Plus nei primi tre giorni successivi al lancio sul mercato.
Il record è stato possibile grazie ai risultati ottenuti in tutti i Paesi del primo gruppo in cui il device è stato fin da subito reso disponibile, ovver Stati Uniti, Australia, Canada, Francia, Germania, Regno Unito, Hong Kong, Giappone, Porto Rico e Singapore.
“Le vendite di iPhone 6 e iPhone 6 Plus hanno superato le nostre attese nel weekend di lancio, e non potremmo essere più felici”, ha affermato Tim Cook, CEO di Apple. “Vorremmo ringraziare tutti i nostri clienti per averci portato al miglior lancio mai avvenuto, battendo di gran lunga tutti i record precedenti. Nonostante il nostro team ha gestito nel miglior modo possibile il processo di produzione, avremmo potuto vendere ancora più iPhone attraverso una più ampia offerta, e stiamo lavorando duramente per rispondere agli ordini il più presto possibile”.

Il prossimo 26 settembre iPhone 6 e iPhone 6 Plus saranno disponibili nel secondo gruppo di Paesi, inclusa l’Italia, mentre raggiungerà i restanti mercati mondiali entro la fine dell’anno.

CUPERTINO, California—September 22, 2014— Apple® today announced it has sold over 10 million new iPhone® 6 and iPhone 6 Plus models, a new record, just three days after the launch on September 19. iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are available in the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore and the UK and will be available in more than 20 additional countries on September 26. The new iPhones will be available in 115 countries by the end of the year.
